We don’t just advise
on ActiveMQ® –
we build it.
Trusted by industry-leading enterprise companies around the world.
Implementation & upgrade services
Six fully-managed service types – each staffed by Apache contributors, each concluding with a documented, tested, production-ready environment and full knowledge transfer.
New ActiveMQ® deployment
Greenfield deployment of Apache ActiveMQ Artemis™ or Classic — from infrastructure provisioning through broker configuration, security hardening, monitoring setup, and production go-live. We hand over a fully documented, tested environment with runbooks.
Get a quoteVersion upgrade
Managed in-place or parallel upgrade for ActiveMQ Classic or Artemis™ – from any supported version to the latest release. Includes compatibility audit, staging validation, cutover execution, and rollback plan. Zero unplanned downtime.
Get a quoteHA cluster build
Design and build of a high-availability ActiveMQ Artemis™ cluster – live-backup replication, shared-storage HA, or network-of-brokers topology. Includes failover testing with measured RTO, load balancing configuration, and monitoring integration.
Get a quoteKubernetes deployment
Production-grade ActiveMQ Artemis™ on Kubernetes – Helm chart design, StatefulSet configuration, PersistentVolume provisioning, network policy setup, ingress TLS termination, and HPAutoscaler tuning. Supports EKS, AKS, and GKE.
Get a quotePerformance optimisation
Systematic performance engineering – JVM heap and GC tuning, journal store optimisation, address/queue configuration review, network-of-brokers load distribution, and consumer concurrency tuning. Delivered with before/after benchmarks.
Get a quoteActiveMQ® + Camel integration.
End-to-end implementation of Apache Camel™ integration routes connecting ActiveMQ® to downstream systems – databases, REST APIs, file systems, cloud services, and EDI partners. Route design, EIP pattern implementation, error handling, and monitoring.

How meshIQ delivers implementations
Every project follows the same six-phase delivery framework – built from 300+ implementations to eliminate every known failure mode and ensure clean, documented go-lives.

Requirements & environment discovery
We review your environment, infrastructure constraints, compliance requirements, and team capabilities. We agree on the exact scope, acceptance criteria, and timeline – in writing – before any work begins. Fixed-price quote is issued at the end of this phase.
Architecture & configuration design
The Apache contributors lead engineer designs the full target architecture – broker configuration, HA topology, address/queue model, security policy, and network layout. The design is documented and reviewed with your team before build begins.
Environment build & configuration
We build the ActiveMQ® environment against the approved design – infrastructure provisioning, broker installation, HA configuration, security hardening, protocol setup, and monitoring integration. All configuration is version-controlled and peer-reviewed.
Testing & validation
Comprehensive testing against agreed acceptance criteria – functional testing, HA failover testing with measured RTO, performance benchmarking at target load, security validation, and client connectivity verification. Results documented and shared.
Production go-live
Production cutover executed from a scripted, rehearsed runbook — with meshIQ engineers on a live bridge call. We follow a go/no-go checklist with hard abort criteria. The previous environment is kept in standby for 48 hours post-cutover. In 300+ implementations, meshIQ has never had an unplanned production incident at go-live.
Documentation, handover & knowledge transfer
Complete documentation suite delivered – architecture document, operational runbooks, monitoring guide, security policy, and troubleshooting reference. A structured knowledge transfer session is run with your team. A 30-day post-delivery support window is included at no additional cost.

Frequently asked questions about ActiveMQ® implementations
The questions teams ask before contributing to an implementation project.
All meshIQ implementation projects are fixed-price, agreed after the discovery phase. We don’t use open-ended day rates. The fixed price covers everything in the agreed scope – design, build, testing, go-live support, documentation, knowledge transfer, and the 30-day post-delivery support window. If you want scope changes during the project, we quote the change before doing the work.
Rapid Implementation projects can typically start within 1–2 weeks of a scoping call. Standard implementations usually begin within 2–3 weeks. Enterprise programmes require a longer scoping phase and typically start within 3–4 weeks. If you have an urgent timeline – for example, an EOL version requiring upgrade before an audit deadline – contact us directly and we will prioritise accordingly.
For most projects, we build in your staging or pre-production environment first and only touch production during the go-live phase. All access is governed by an NDA and our security policy. We typically need SSH access to target hosts, read-only access to existing broker configurations, and write access to staging environments. We never require persistent standing access to production – all production access is time-bounded and logged.
If a project overruns due to factors within meshIQ’s control, we absorb the cost – it doesn’t affect your fixed price. If it overruns due to factors outside our control (access delays, scope changes, third-party failures), we discuss the impact transparently and agree to a revised plan. In our delivery history, 100% of projects have been delivered on or before the agreed timeline.
Every meshIQ implementation delivers: an Architecture Document, Operational Runbooks, a Monitoring Guide, a Security Policy Document, a Test Report (all acceptance test results and benchmark data), and a Handover Pack. All documents are delivered in editable formats so your team can maintain them going forward.
Yes – this is our preferred model. The 30-day post-delivery support window can transition directly into a meshIQ enterprise support plan. The same named engineer who built your environment remains available for ongoing support – no knowledge handover gap, no re-learning curve.
